At the time of qualifying as an ophthalmologist she was the first black female ophthalmologist to do so from University of Natal.
She keeps herself professionally and academically up to date by being part of local and international congresses.
In her spare time (which is very little) Sine’ indulges in Jazz music, travelling and may even be found in the kitchen from time to time.
